Temperature, as an important parameter reflecting the safety of tank farm, is directly related to the safety of life and property. Materials such as heavy metals, compounds, fuel and steam in the air around the oil tank area are not conducive to the work of conventional electrical sensors and instruments. Due to the passive optical fiber sensing system, the unique characteristics of the monitoring site without any electronic equipment, the intrinsic safety of flammable and explosive situations, rapid response and resistance to corrosive liquids, the FBG temperature measurement system is especially suitable for the flammable and explosive petrochemical industry.

The system consists of four parts: optical fiber sensor, transmission optical fiber cable, FBG Intelligent demodulator and computer. The fiber Bragg grating temperature sensor is installed on the surface of the measured point to collect the temperature signal; the fiber grating analyzer and the computer are placed in the control room; the signal is transmitted between the measured point and the control room, and the fiber grating demodulator transmits the data to the computer through the Ethernet, and the computer system implements the number. According to processing, fault diagnosis, alarm and control.

System structure

Through the fiber Bragg grating temperature sensor, which is laid in the defense area (such as tunnels, oil tanks, etc.), the temperature of the measured region is fed back to the demodulator in real time through the light signal. The temperature data is calculated. The measuring software completes the fire warning according to the temperature information. The analyzer can complete linkage control with other fire fighting devices through data interface, and upload temperature and alarm information to control center.
